This short film celebrated Chinatown Community Development Center’s 44th Anniversary and their dedication to providing affordable housing and social justice advocacy for immigrant, low-income, and working class families in SF Chinatown and beyond.

An integrated brand awareness campaign built upon the Monterey Bay Aqaurium’s enduring spirit of wonderment and awe. The summer-long marketing campaign educated and delighted ocean lovers of all ages—as it extended across media including out-of-home, television, digital display ads, print, radio, mobile apps, social media, and experiential installations.

An integrated marketing campaign to promote the highly-anticipated reopening of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art—which had been closed for 3 years for major renovations. SFMOMA wanted to invite back long-time loyalists as it welcomed new visitors. The campaign blanketed the Bay Area including BART station take-overs, SFO airport boards, SF Ferry terminal boards, MUNI bus shelters and bus sides, highway billboards, street light banners, magazine print, in-theater ads, digital display ads, online video, and social media.

Brand awareness videos and digital campaign for Piper — a DIY home security system dedicated to making sure your loved ones are safe and sound. The campaign extended across digital display ads, website take-overs, social media, and point-of-sale marketing.

A targeted go-to-market campaign for HayTag—an app that lets people keep track of their pets. The campaign included landing page, product packaging, in-store posters, point-of-sale, and brand identity.

An experiential installation created for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Our team turned a run-down, out-of-commission Airstream trailer into a virtual aquarium on wheels. All summer long, the Fintastic Voyager made appearances at ballparks, concerts, and art festivals across the Bay Area. Participants were invited to watch a fun film about ocean conservation, peer through a submarine scope with a live cam of otters playing in the Bay, and play ocean trivia games to win prizes.

Brand awareness animated video created for the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) to promote its industry-wide recognition of excellence in quality of patient care and successful results year over year. The video appeared on TV broadcast and online media.

An augmented reality (AR) experiential installation created for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This first-of-it's-kind interactive installation included 13 digital bus shelters throughout the San Francisco MUNI bus line. Commuters were invited to take a 150 feet virtual dive into the ocean to meet and learn about aquatic sea life at different depths as they descended.

An integrated brand campaign for 24 Hour Fitness—who’s mission was to help people be the healthiest version of themselves—whether you’re a world-class athlete, a budding high school star, or a new parent trying to regain their fitness. The campaign extended across broadcast TV, out-of-home, direct mail, newspaper print, and in-store media.

An integrated brand campaign to promote 24 Hour Fitness and its sponsorship of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The campaign included broadcast TV, out-of-home, and print ads featuring US Olympians Jeremy Wariner (track), Kerri Walsh (beach volleyball), and Alicia Sacramone (gymnastics) alongside “aspiring” everyday athletes.

Re-branding campaign for Bridge Bank — one of the West Coast’s most innovative business banks based in Silicon Valley. The goal was to update its brand identity while crafting a distinct voice/personality across their logo system, new website, interior and exterior building signage, collateral design, and photography library.

A brand awareness TV campaign featuring NFL pros Brian Urlacher, Jevon Kearse, and Warren Sapp—each throwing down challenges to gamers at home. Sega Sports’ release of NFL 2K3 (over 20 years ago), served up some of the most realistic graphics for its day.

Brand awareness TV campaign for Adidas to promote its fitness website dedicated to helping professional and amateur athletes train all year round. The campaign featured NFL pros Keyshawn Johnson, Eddie George, and John Lynch.

One year after graduating from the Virginia Commonwealth University AdCenter (now known as Brandcenter at VCU), I was approached by former professor and ad legend Jelly Helm, to write a perspective piece as part of the ad school’s promotional series featuring advertising professionals. It was a rare and wonderful copywriting opportunity for a young and opinionated art director.
